Direct design and development on Accessories product line. Set seasonal concept and color direction for handbag, footwear and accessories. Responsible for trend, material, color research and hardware development. Design seasonal collections, between 200 – 250 sku per season across all categories. Travel to Tokyo, Hong Kong, China to develop collections with factories, attend trade fairs and source new leathers, PVC, hardware and factories. Responsible for creation and management of departments budget. Managed self and team to ensure timely development of line by adhering to time and action calendar. Present concepts and product line to management. Preparation of clear and accurate technical specs and detailing of line. Overseas travel to factories to maintain and build relationships, negotiating initial costs on forecasted buys and identifying capacity opportunities. Work with factories to create first samples and on fit process, suggesting alternative constructions and changes when needed to meet price parameters. Managed critical dates, addressing issues and problem solving to maintain production schedule to deliver quality product on time and in full. Implement new production and design calendar taking into account vendor and factory lead-times, internal obligations and marketing critical dates. Communicate calendars to internal and external teams. Identify new areas of profit including new product categories, in store accessory destinations and ongoing trials of new vendors. Worked with licensees to ensure designs and calendar meet objectivesMarcs Sunglasses, Superga Sneakers, Urban Ears Headphones, Marcs CBD. Implemented external quality control for handbag factories thus ensuring high level of product and workmanship. Established new factory supplier chain in China, improving quality and margin. Reported and decided best course of action on quality and customer feedback. Worked closely with creative director, visual merchandising team and stylists on required product for catalogue shoots, online store and press office.
